The exact arithmetic of what is open, when, and for how long — the clock, the plans and the rules the table itself enforces.
The first 72 hours
From the moment the game is first opened on a device, every feature is open for 72 hours: every table, every cue, every chalk cube, every mode, Pro drills included. Nothing is counted and no account is needed.
The clock belongs to the device and it only runs forward. Clearing the browser, using a private window, or putting the clock back does not restart it — the first day is written in several places at once and the oldest one wins.
From the 48th hour the game begins asking for an account, because without one the open days cannot follow you to another device.
After that: what stays free, for ever
Solo practice — a full table, no clock, no limit, no account. Re-rack, scatter the balls, place any ball by hand, and play the same shot a thousand times.
Learn & Drill — the lessons, step by step, with Show me how.
Neither of these ever costs anything or counts against anything.
After that: the two free hours
Matches — against the bot, online, or two players on one device — run on two free hours a day.
The two hours are counted only while a match is actually live. A paused tab counts nothing. Solo and the lessons count nothing. Time is counted in seconds and is spent only going forward.
The two hours return at midnight in your own time zone. When they are spent, the line above the table tells you exactly how long until the next two arrive.
The hours belong to your account, not to the device. Playing an hour on a phone leaves one hour on a computer.
The plans
2 hours — two more hours of everything, added on top of whatever you have left.
Full day — 24 hours of everything.
7 days — a week of everything.
Monthly — everything, renewing each month, and the status Pro.
Buying one while another is still running adds to it; it does not replace it. The countdown above the table always shows the total you have.
While any plan runs, the whole Pro collection is open — every cue, every cloth, every cube — and the Pro drills with it. When it ends, your kit settles back to the open set and whatever you had chosen is remembered for the next time.
Invites
Your account comes with an invite link. Each friend who makes an account on it adds 24 hours of fully open play to yours, up to three friends — 72 extra hours in all.
If an invited friend takes Monthly, you get a month of Monthly free. If you are already on Monthly, your next month is free instead.
The hours arrive when the friend verifies their email, not when they click. Inviting yourself does not work and is checked for.
Ranked play
Only Online frames count for rank. Bot frames, Solo and lessons do not.
Rank starts at 1200 and moves with every online frame, by how far apart the two players are.
Leaving a live online frame counts as a loss. If you are dropped by a connection fault rather than by walking away, tell us and we will correct it.
The rules the table enforces
The game plays WPA eight-ball, and the table itself applies the rules — you cannot score a foul by accident or claim a ball you did not call.
Call the ball and the pocket. Slop does not count. A foul gives your opponent ball in hand anywhere. The eight is legal only after your group is cleared, and only in the pocket you called.
Fouls are: potting the cue ball, hitting nothing, hitting the wrong ball first, and no ball reaching a cushion after contact.
Eight on the break re-racks. The table is open until the first called pot, and that pot sets the groups.
If something goes wrong
If a frame is scored wrongly, if time is counted that should not have been, or if a plan does not arrive, tell us from the address on your account. We keep enough of a record to check it, and we will correct what we got wrong.
